A reference image communicates style, but it does not control production. A useful OEM brief converts the visual direction into choices that can be quoted, sampled and inspected.
Separate design intent from the production specification
Describe the silhouette and target customer, then record the measurable details: dimensions, wearing size, weight target, metal purity, finish, stone map, setting and functional requirements.
Define the diamond route
State lab-grown or natural origin, shape, size or carat range, color and clarity range, matching tolerance and whether an individual IGI or GIA report is required. A report should never be assumed from the word “diamond”.
Write commercial variables into the quotation
Development sample quantity, bulk MOQ, fees, revision rounds, lead times, packaging, payment, shipping and inspection evidence should be confirmed before work begins.
