Jewelry QC Before Shipment: A Buyer’s Evidence Checklist
What to request when appearance, dimensions, stone security and order matching matter.
A “passed QC” message is not the same as an agreed inspection record. Buyers should decide which checks and evidence are required while the order can still be corrected.
Check the order against the approved record
Verify style code, quantity, size assortment, material, stone map, finish, logo, packaging and shipping marks against the released specification.
Match the inspection to the risk
Dimensions, setting security, surface condition, clasp function, pair matching and appearance need different checks. Define tolerances where an exact result matters.
Agree how evidence will be delivered
Photos, video, measurement records, report references and packing confirmation should identify the order or sample they describe. The quotation should state which evidence is included.
