You do not need every answer to begin. Mark open decisions clearly so development work can be priced separately from production.

Transparency note
LEXVSS will not publish generic certificate artwork as proof. Current company documents, factory audits, customer references and exhibition records should be added only after verification.
COMMON PROCUREMENT QUESTIONS
Before You Approve the First Sample
What can I send to start?+
A sketch, reference photo, CAD file, technical drawing or physical sample. Add the target market, material, diamond range, quantity and deadline if known.
Is one-piece sampling the same as a bulk MOQ?+
No. A one-piece development sample may be available, while production MOQ, price and lead time depend on the design, materials, tooling and packaging. Confirm them in the quotation.
When is an IGI or GIA report included?+
Only when the selected stone or finished jewelry item and report service are included in the order. Confirm the report type, number and verification method before shipment.
Who owns the CAD files and molds?+
Ownership and usage rights should be stated in the quotation or project agreement. Do not assume that development fees automatically transfer every production file or tool.
What should be checked before shipment?+
Confirm quantity, approved specifications, visible finish, setting security, measurements, stone documents, branding, packaging, shipping marks and agreed photo or video evidence.
Can I use a protected payment route?+
Alibaba.com Trade Assurance may be available for eligible orders when confirmed. Match the order description and acceptance terms to the approved project record.
Is the sample fee refundable?+
Only when the quotation states a specific credit or refund condition. CAD, tooling, material, stone, report, packaging and shipping charges may be treated separately.
When is a mold fee required?+
A mold or tooling fee may apply when the approved construction needs reusable production tooling. Ownership, storage and reuse rights should be written into the project documents.
How many CAD or sample revisions are included?+
The quotation should state the included revision rounds. A new design direction or changes after approval may require additional cost and time.
How long does sampling take?+
A typical target is stated only after the brief, material route and CAD are confirmed. Complex setting, stone sourcing, reports, revisions and packaging can extend the schedule.
How long will plating color last?+
Plating life depends on thickness, base metal, wear, chemicals, storage and care. Confirm the plating specification and avoid promising a universal lifetime without a tested standard.
What happens if a stone becomes loose or falls out?+
The order should define inspection timing, evidence, workmanship coverage and exclusions for impact, misuse, resizing, third-party repair and normal wear.
Who handles export customs and import duties?+
The agreed Incoterm, carrier, export documents, declared value, insurance, import duties and local clearance responsibility should be confirmed before shipment.
Can bulk MOQ change after sampling?+
Yes. Final MOQ can depend on components, stone matching, plating, packaging and production repeatability. Confirm the bulk MOQ again when the sample specification is frozen.
